Most internet service providers assign dynamic IP addresses to their customers. This means the internet address of yourcomputer may change every time you connect, or on certain intervals. This presents a problem if you want to access your computer. Dynamicip Monitor checks for changes in external and internal IP addresses every 2 minutes and when a change is detected can perform thefollowing updates:

* Upload TXT file containing IP addresses to FTP server

* Send E-mail containing IP addresses through your smtp server (supports AUTH LOGIN authentication for servers that require it-check your service provider's specifications for sending outgoing mail from external clients and test it if you plan to use this feature)

* Update DynDNS Dynamic DNS Hostname Entry

* Update by URL string (web query)

Suggested uses:

* Stay informed of your computer's internal and external (LAN & WAN) IP addresses, for router changes, remote administration, orremote desktop

* Set up your software or web page to parse the FTP-uploaded IP_Hostname.txt file to obtain the address of your server [database, web, mail, ftp, etc...]

Note: Dynamic IP Monitor connects to a page on the web to obtain external IP address, you may have to allow this (and the update methodsyou will use) in your firewall.
